I am a 25-year-old woman living in a small town in West Virginia that is 2.5 hours south of Pittsburgh, Pa [a city that I visit multiple times a year]. Physically speaking, I have blue grey eyes, red hair just below my shoulders with bangs, pale skin and freckles. I am 5’2”, skinny but definitely curvy and have 6 tattoos and 11 piercings. I hope to increase those numbers in the future.

I have been happily attached to

martyrsdescent since September 14, 2001. We became engaged July 16, 2008 and were married March 4, 2009. I love him with all of my being, and nothing can break us, though many have tried. We have a six-year-old son named Trenton, who brings light to our lives and has always encouraged us to be better people.

I graduated from West Virginia Wesleyan College in 2006 with a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in English Literature and a well-extended minor in Sociology. In August ‘06, I started working as a journalist for a local paper. After 14 months in less than desirable work conditions, making peanuts and having little to no time for myself and my family, I made my exodus, which opened doors I hadn’t dreamed of. I currently work as a title abstractor in West Virginia courthouses. Eventually, I would like to return to school to work toward a master’s degree in American Literature, but for now, I am content with my career as it is. One day, I would like to be a published writer.

Additionally, I am: a musician [violin + clarinet]; a lover of all things horror; a coffee house enthusiast; an occasional weekend binge drinker [I'd like to make that less occasional]; emotional; an amateur alternative model who has been shooting off and on since 2005; a music snob; vain; passionate; trustworthy; extremely passionate; a liberal democrat; a tad bit arrogant; empathetic and an occasional actress.

-- Save the drama for your momma. I welcome differing opinions, but direct, unprovoked personal attacks will not be tolerated. I have been on LJ for seven years, and I left my previous journal,

ravenousnight due to bad memories, unwanted negative attention and some less than savory characters checking in on me. Some of this has followed me here, but that does not stop me from speaking my mind. For that reason, my journal is and has always been mostly public. The extremely personal things are friends only; so, if you want it all, you have to friend me.
-- I am bisexual, and I have been out to my friends since I was 16. Some of my family knows because I told them or they found out by their own means. However, some will never be told, and others have asked me to never tell them. I am comfortable with my sexuality, and I talk about it often.
-- I am also polyamorous, but only with females. I have been actively embracing this aspect of myself off and on since I was 18. So, if you notice entries that speak of both my husband and women, regard them as completely normal.
-- My degree in English Literature contributes greatly to my love of words. I enjoy metaphors, literary references in popular culture and music, elevated language, raw emotions and filthy honesty.
-- I am spiritual, I’m analytical, but I don’t consider myself religious. I believe in finding one’s own path. To me, the word ‘religious’ implies that I follow a mapped-out doctrine. The word ‘spiritual’ affords me the opportunity to find out what it is I truly believe and develop a deeper connection with my spiritual self. It is not confined.
-- I eat healthy, and I work out at least four times a week. I write about the seemingly endless struggle to become comfortable in my own skin often.

Most importantly, a journal should represent both the positive and negative aspects of the human condition. I ignore neither. So, comments about me being too mopey or too negative when I’m going through a rough patch are not welcome. Not everything is so rosey.
